Britt White plays the Doug Fir Lounge.
With her bandmates George Lewis III and
Jeremy Wilkins, they form hawks do not
share, who opened the evening for Money.
What we learned that night? Don’t talk over
the musicians. One such rude audience
member was so oblivious she didn’t realize
the band had stopped playing and were
staring at her...that is, before she got
verbally bawled out by Jamie Lee, the lead
singer of Money. It was embarrassing for
the girl and for the rest of us; Portland is
a great music town, and every audience is
an ambassador for that. Shut up and listen,
or to paraphrase Jamie, “That’s so bloody
rude. You know you can talk outside? You
can go outside. Seriously, get the fuck out.”
Otherwise, great show!
