JAMES A. BOYLAN JR.
James Aloysius Boylan, Jr., 81, of
Sawgrass in Ponte
Vedra Beach,
FL., passed away
peacefully on
August 17, 2015
after a long illness.
Known by his family and friends as
“Jim”, he was born
in White Plains,
NY, on March 9,
BOYLAN
1934, the third
child of Margaret
Regina Boylan (nee O’Brien) and James
Aloysius Boylan.
Jim graduated from Scarsdale High
School in 1951 and Lehigh University in
1956 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and
a commission as a Second Lieutenant
after completing the Army ROTC program. He served in the US ARMY from
April 1956 until October 1956.

County plans public budget hearings
In conjunction with the annual
budget process, members of the community are invited to attend to public
hearings to provide feedback on the
Fiscal Year 2016 St. Johns County Budget. The public hearings are scheduled
for 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 8 and Sept. 24
in the Board of County Commissioners
Auditorium, 500 San Sebastian View in
St. Augustine.

Concealed weapon permit
renewals accepted at County
Tax Collector’s Office
Following tremendous success with
processing new concealed weapons
permit applications, interested Floridians are now able to renew their concealed weapons permit at the Lewis
Speedway office of St. Johns County
Tax Collector Dennis W. Hollingsworth, CFC. The St. Augustine Main
Office first started processing new
CWPs in April and had 23 customers
that month. The number of applications swelled to 127 taken in July,
prompting the expansion of service to
now include renewals.
