my life by introducing me to the sport of triathlon. Did you ever race triathlon professionally? No, my full-time job is as a Regional Manager for one of the largest healthcare companies in North America. It requires long work hours and travel. During the five years of racing in the sport of triathlon, I tried to train as much as I could around my work schedule, often getting up around 4am for a run/bike ride before work and swimming after work or going to track workouts. I averaged approximately five races per year, completing 24 triathlons. Why did you decide to make the switch from triathlon to polo? My passion has always been my love for horses. I’m a competitive person and the sport of polo has captured both my passion and my drive to compete. My father is a thoroughbred race horse trainer, breeder and owner, so I guess horses are in my blood. I took lessons and attended coaching chukkas a few times during the six-week triathlon off-season each year. I knew I would have to play more than a few times a year to get good but my commitment was to triathlon racing. I planned to transition after I accomplished my triathlon goals, which I did last year. » BMW INTERNATIONAL POLO 29
