Ukrainian Emigres in Poland - INTERVIEW.

Until September this year, nearly 16.5 thousand Ukrainian citizens in Poland submitted an application for a temporary residence permit, permanent residence or refugee status long-term resident of the EU, and besides, 1,419 people apply for refugee status in Poland. According to census Poland is inhabited by about 60 thousand people of Ukrainian origin. Immigration is the most common cause of fear of persecution <especially those coming from areas where fighting is taking place> and search for employment. many immigrants have a university degree or a few people with high school education indicate lack of prior employment.

In our school is a teacher who comes from Ukrain. I did an interview with she:

Q: What was the reason that you decided to come to Poland?

A: I have got my first job offer to work at school in Drezdenko. It’s near Gorzów Wielkopolski.

Q: What were the beginning your carieer in Poland?

A: The beginnings weren’t easy. I didn’t know language. I started to learn Polish at work.

Q: Do you like Poland?

A: Yes, i like Poland. I have been here since 2000.

Q: If you could choose again would you choose another country?

A: I don’t know exactly. Perhaps I would choose because in Poland like foreignes have.
