Mikołaj Kopernik
Mikołaj Kopernik was Polish astronomer and he made theory about earthly sphere. He was born 19.02.1473 in Toruń , Poland. Today in Toruń , his house is still standing but now it’s only museum and restaurant. Near his house is a planetarium dedicated to his name. Kopernik is very important in Poland because he showed great knowledge and created a work of "celestial sphere".
Jan Mtejko
Jan Alojzy Matejko was born on 24th of June in 1838 in Kraków. He was Polish painter, creator of many historical and war-themed paintings and historian. He painted many famous and beautiful paintings like: “The Battle of Grunwald”, “The Batory at Pskov”, “Rejtan” or “The Union of Lublin”. He died on 1st of November in 1893 in Kraków.
