Creative Arts Self-expression through drama and the creative arts is vital to our focus on inspiring innovative and independent thought from an early age. Our Art and Design Technology Centre and Tom Stoppard Theatre have every facility to fire enthusiasm and nurture individual talent and collaborative skills. Prep School pupils enjoy role-play and gain confidence through school productions and LAMDA acting and speaking qualifications. In Senior School creative opportunities widen and the annual student-led House Drama challenge ignites passion and enthusiasm, as well as excellent teamwork. In addition to performing, students can work in backstage areas such as directing, lighting, sound, costumes and choreography. Theatre trips and work with visiting actors and other professionals provide further inspiration. Our flagship Art and Design Technology Centre is a thriving creative hub with an art college feel and lots of gallery space to exhibit work. Exploration of media and experimentation of techniques is actively encouraged in open-plan, flexible teaching spaces. All staff are practising artists and designers working on their own projects outside of school. “Our younger son will be joining you soon! His brother loved every minute!” 20
