Sammy Davis Jr.: I’ve Gotta Be Me
Thursday, November 8 at 7PM
Directed by Sam Pollard I 100 min I Documentary I USA
Sammy Davis, Jr. had a career that was legendary, and yet his life was
complex, complicated and contradictory. Davis strove to achieve the
American Dream in a time of racial prejudice and shifting political territory,
and was the most public black figure to embrace Judaism, thereby yoking
his identity to another persecuted minority. Featuring new interviews and
never-before-seen photographs and excerpts from his electric perfor-
mances, the film explores the life and art of a uniquely gifted entertainer.

graphs from the their experiences during the war, the men's personal
collections, the film includes rare archival footage, stills, and newsreels,

wartime and the first Jewish service at Dachau after it was liberated.

Talk Back with RBG acclaimed film director Julie Cohen
At the age of 84, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has
developed a stunning legal legacy while becoming an unexpected pop
culture icon. But without a definitive Ginsburg biography, the unique per-
sonal journey of this diminutive, quiet warrior’s rise to the nation’s highest
court has been largely unknown, even to some of her biggest fans—until
now. RBG is a revelatory documentary exploring Ginsburg‘s exceptional
life and career.
