strategies are being persistently employ-
ed in a number of organizations.
These learnings and initiatives provide
certain pointers for ensuring and practi-
cing sustainability not only for the organi-
zations but also at an individual level.
In order to have a better future for our
community and our world, it is best if the
organization inculcates sustainability as
part of its DNA and ensures that anyone
joining the organization is already attuned
to the company’s culture.
As a general set of suggestions for com-
panies or organizations:
Policy creation and communication – the
more simple and direct it is, the easier it
is to implement
Build up employee volunteer leaders
within the organization who will be
internal champions or ambassadors
Collaborate with large organizations and
be part of larger initiatives in the world
Embed sustainability principles into the
organization's culture
Management need to support innova-
tions in the area of sustainability and
energy reductions
