Finally, a key Leadership quality is authenticity; being true to yourself as an individual. “I cannot say if the ability to lead is
a quality one learns or is born with, but I
suspect it is a mixture of both. Regardless, what is important is being authentic
about who you are because the people
you are leading will know very quickly if
you are not yourself convinced.” Many
people may choose to be project
managers because they want to exercise
their own potential as leaders. Probably
the motivations for people who opt to
conduct orchestras are different. Still, the
job demands good leadership. The
constraints can be strict and the mistakes
are embarrassingly public “Everyone
hears a bad result,” sums up Lena-Lisa.
