Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I would describe myself as a very well-oriented woman with high ambitions, a good
sense of humor and a big heart. Before I entered the modeling industry, I wanted to be
a medical examiner.

Can you tell us a little about The Tierra Bomba Project?

I joined forces with an organization called World Wide Friends in Colombia to create the
Tierra Bomba project (www.tierrabomba.org). We bring people from all over the world
to Tierra Bomba to teach the children there English as well as provide creative activities

of Colombia. The island belongs to the city of Cartagena Di Indias, which is one of the
most colorful and attractive cities in Colombia. Tierra Bomba is almost like a forgotten
island, even though it’s only 15 minutes away from Cartagena by boat. On the island,
there are around 4,000 inhabitants who rely on tourism in the city of Cartagena and
fisheries for income. Tierra Bomba is not a typical destination for tourists because the
travel agencies are concentrated in Cartagena and on the islands. The people on the
island usually have to go by boat to the beaches of Cartagena to sell coconut water,
necklaces and conduct massages with coconut oil. It is also very sad that due to a lack
of opportunities and education, many young people there are led into prostitution in the
city to earn their living.
