How do you feel about being called a “plus size” model? Honestly, I don’t have any feelings towards being called “plus size”. It’s what I am and I’m proud that I can represent the plus size women in the world while proving that being plus size IS beautiful. I want to empower women to feel confident in their own skin and not hide themselves because society thinks anything over a size 8 isn’t attractive – because it is. I hope to inspire women to feel confident about their bodies. I want all women to know that no matter what shape, size or color you are – you are beautiful. While I know it’s so much easier to ask someone how to be a plus size model, the reality is that finding that information on your own is much more valuable. Check out the interviews of models you admire and aspire to work with one day. Find out where you fit in or if you even fit in the category to be a plus model. It will save you plenty of time, money and headaches. PRACTICE the craft. You should always test and invest in your photo shoots. Modeling is a business and should be treated as such. Social media can make you or break you… be very mindful of what you post and who you follow. Create a professional page and a personal page to differentiate the two.
