Aspiring models look to social media and only see one side of the
modeling industry. What did you learn about the modeling industry
that you didn’t know as a working model?
When aspiring models flip thought fashion magazines or on social media and
see these beautiful women who are models, they simply see the final product,
but not the blood, sweat a nd hard work it took to get there. While most want the
title “Model” and think it is effortless, the reality of it is that it is a commitment
financially, physically and mentally. It is hard work… rewarding, but hard work.
My advice comes from my own experience: be ready when opportunities arise
We shot you in Puerto Rico in front of many people in swimwear and
you are such a confident woman. Can you talk about your positive
self-esteem and your journey to get there?
I say a very gracious “thank you” for thinking that I am confident. I have always
been active so a lot of my body confidence comes from that. I am not ashamed
of my curves and never have been. My social media is titled “beautyisaplus”
for a reason. I know that I am much more inside and I hope that reflects on the
outside.
