Keely Asks...
I feel like I’m one of MANY models on the modeling agency board. How can I stand
out to my bookers and the industry?
You and the agency work hand in hand. It’s their job to develop good relationships with
clients and it’s your job to give them what they need to present you to those clients.
New tests (pictures) is essential, making sure your skin, hair and nails are always
model ready is also very important. Keeping to the size the agency is promoting
as sounds easy but it’s not always easy but very important. Lastly, building your
following on social media. Brands are looking at social media numbers and blogs
just as much as new images.

I’m attending my first model call at a very reputable agency and I’m a little scared.
What should I expect?
It’s natural to be a little nervous but most open calls go by very quickly. I would bring
whatever it is they ask you to bring. You r images should not be with your family
or pets or from an event. A simple shot in leggings or denim pants with a top that
shows your figure is best. Simple makeup and hair as well. As for what to expect,
they may ask you a few questions, take some snap shots of you and maybe take your
height and look over your pictures. Be prepared for questions like: How long have
you been modeling, what experience do you have, are you available to travel? Speak
confidently and make sure to look the person in the eye when speaking.
