letter from the editor madeline jones | editor-in-chief They say hindsight is 20/20, but for me, looking back at 2015 brings a lot of emotions to the forefront. The plus size industry has never been as recognized as it is today. From the cover of People Magazine featuring a size-22 model to Ashley Nell Tipton winning Project Runway, there is no denying the industry has made its mark and reached new levels in society. The body positive movement has been influential in promoting self love as well as the plus size health and wellness movement. We are on TV, radio, magazines, newspapers and thanks to Lane Bryant, billboards. So what is next? Instead of waiting for the next big thing, it’s time for us to push the momentum even further. We have women inside our industry that are smart, talented and have important things to say. There is nothing wrong with admiring confidence in women who embrace their bodies, but confidence comes in many ways. Confidence comes from within and as the year comes to an end, I would love for all of us to embrace a new year of opportunities. Let’s encourage the women who are reaching out to the sisters on the right and left of her and do the same. I would like to see us support the indie designers and brands who are reaching out to us. Yes, we all want to get those
