What style do you gravitate the most?
My style is called “ECG” – Effortless, Chic, Glam. I like to wear
silhouettes that flatter my body, and are made with great quality
materials. I like simpler patterns or pattern-less styles, I love the black
and white color combo and I love denim and bright colors, and I always
add a bit of glam with accessories and shoes to give my own unique
twist to my outfit.
What is your advice to aspiring models?
1) Do not concern yourself with what another model is doing. Not
every model can do everything.
2) Understand that you will have to go through the “Right of
passage” before your career actually takes off. You will invest a lot of
money, time and effort into molding yourself as a brand, so be prepared
to invest in yourself.
3) You need to be in good shape. All plus models have cellulite and
are not as toned as a fitness model, but we are proportioned.
4) Practice, Practice, PRACTICE and get to know your body and face
really well.
5) Stay humble and give gratitude to everyone you work with; you
cannot do all of this by yourself.
6) Always ask for feedback, and do not take any critiques personally;
it happens from time to time when a model may feel offended, but if you
put your ego to the side you realize that the people who are giving you
feedback do care about you and your career, so take what they say into
consideration but be don’t be offended. Just learn from these critiques.
