Maddy: Full Figured Fashion Week, fffweek.com, is in it’s sixth
year, when you think back to the beginning, has the event reached
the goals you had in mind?
Gwen: Definitely. In fact, the event reached the goals I planned
for in less than 3 years. What a phenomenal ride it has been!
Maddy: Every year FFFWEEK surprises us with something
different. What can we look forward to this year?
Gwen: This year, we hope that we will introduce to our attendees
more independent designers and re-introduce a few retail brands
who have returned to the community with a fresh focus on
fashion for curvy women. We also want to revamp our event
schedule somewhat to further enhance some of the tried and true
favorites of our guests (sorry, no spoilers!).
Maddy: By the time we go to print you will have already finished
the casting tour. How many models do you generally choose each
year? What tips can you offer models reading this interview
about how to nail a casting call?
