Australian model Tia Provost has always had a passion for traveling and exploring other
cultures. After high school, she backpacked for three years; ultimately moving to London. It was
there that she stumbled into the world of modeling and found her dream career. We’ve seen her
work with City Chic, Panache Lingerie, Target and many other brands. This month, she graces
the cover of PLUS Model Magazine.
PMM: Being a model seems like a dream to many of our readers. Was being a
model your original career path?
Tia: God no! Everyone, myself included, is still shocked that I chose to enter this
industry. Honestly, I had no idea what I wanted to do; all I knew was that I loved meeting new
people and traveling.
I never wore makeup and still don’t, outside of work. I lived in my thongs/flip flops and still do.
I never wore heels and my style was all about backpacker comfort and practicality. I love being
barefoot in nature and never worried about how I looked. It’s also completely different to how I
