A bathroom with Duravit c-bonded technology that took top honours at the 2017
German Design Awards.
Duravit wins big at
the 2017 German
Design Awards
Duravit earned a special mention at the 2017 German
Design Awards for its c-bonded technology, while
three of its designs received awards.
The special mention recognises works
with designs that demonstrate particularly
successful details or solutions. This award
honours the commitment of companies
and designers. As was the Vero Air
washbasin with L-Cube vanity unit as
a c-bonded version: in a complex and
unique process, the furniture washbasin
is connected almost seamlessly to the
vanity unit. The actual thickness of the
washbasin is invisible and reduced to a
precise edge.
The B.1 tap fitting range features soft, round
contours. With two varied sizes available, there
is plenty of scope for designing a personalised
washing area. B.1 also offers an ideal tap
fitting solution for any installation scenario in all
other areas of the bathroom.

bowls made from DuraCeram impress with a
generous inner basin and clear edges.
With DuraSquare, Duravit has developed a
range that sets new standards in terms of
precision and reduction. The basic form of the
washbasin design is rectangular and finished
with a high level of precision. The smooth inner
basin forms an aesthetic contrast to the exact
geometry of the series. An interesting option is
the combination with furniture accessories in
matt black or chrome. Glass shelves in various
colours bring an individual splash of colour to
the bathroom.
The German Design Award is the premium
international prize of the Rat für Formgebung
(Council for Design). It aims to discover,
present, and honour distinctive design
trends. Each year, high-calibre submissions
in product and communication design are
recognised, each in its own way a pioneer in
