PLUMBDRAIN AFRICA SEMINARS* Wednesday, 15 August 2018 Debbie Donaldson, director of ‘because YOU’RE worth it’, will hold an interactive and practical session on integrating an INTENTional MENTORing environment in a small and medium-sized business. The session will be facilitated so that industry members can explore their own “way” and find “how” answers for business. Having started her career as a pharmacist, Donaldson was immediately attracted to complex and challenging business environments. “Being able to participate in historical moments within the pharmaceutical, credit bureau, and insurance sectors since the early eighties until today, has been fantastic,” says Donaldson. Some of the most rewarding work she has done, has been in creating new or revised business models especially related to sustainable development. “This work has helped me recognise the significance of understanding systemic risk and how, by understanding the interrelationship of risks/opportunities, you are able to design and implement interventions and strategies that have positive impact beyond the business or the sector at hand.” Date: Wednesday, 15 August 2018 Time: 13:00–14:00 Topic: Interactive Mentorship Speaker: Debbie Donaldson Thursday, 16 August 2018 Two speakers will take to the stage on the Thursday of the show: Patrick Gordon and Deon Smit.
