My current and forever craft is Painting, I’m a painter... the type of painter I am, well that’s debatable. I would like to consider myself as an “Neo Expressionism” painter, but I’m not that completely. Now many people know a huge inspiration of mine is Jean Michel Basquiat... he was a Neo Expressionist artist, but his style was very extreme. Not just using colors but his style of how he portrayed faces, body parts, etc. I think my style is a little bit more cleaner, there are and can be a lot of colors involved with my paintings but for the most part it’s straight forward. I like to do a lot of smudging and blending of my colors giving it a unique look. If I could give myself my own lane of a painting movement... I’d probably call it “Neo-Personalism” or something like that. The reason is because a lot of my paintings involve people, and new way of portraying people in a different light.
As far as my future expectations go, I’m just tryna impact as many people as I can with my art. I really just want people to appreciate the talent that God blessed me with. I think the way I do my art is just therapeutic for me, and you can kind of see that within my paintings. I do like painting events here and there, where I go and instruct a class which is pretty cool because people end up loving what they paint. Peoples expressions after they’re finished their painting is pretty cool and I love that they love it, and that’s what I want to continue to do in the future. I just wanna stick my hand in different things when it comes to this art stuff, and just keep inspiring those that wanna partake in this amazing craft!
