The UTT / MSP OUT-REACH FUTSAL DEVELOPMENTAL Initiative has been attracting the attention of the public via social media locally regionally and internationally . Mr . George Matheson who have been very much involved recording the activities and sharing with the media houses in Trinidad had the opportunity to witness these men and women understand the critical importance of the public involvement . “ Futsal is still a very new sport to most of Trinidad and Tobago and attracts street footballers ( small goal players ) ; hence the reason the interest is so high within the prison . As the Men ’ s National Futsal Team Head Coach and Football Coach at the University of Trinidad and Tobago he conducts training sessions for Port of Spain Prison , MSP Prison , Women ’ s Prisons and Youth Training Centre on Mondays , Thursdays and Saturdays . This Futsal Developmental Program was initiated just over a year ago at the MSP prison where 42 Inmates players and match referees were honored during a graduation ceremony in December . Under the Clayton Morris Academy a non-profit organization , Mentorship Advisors Mr . Peter Aleong , Mr . Raymond Tim Kee , Mr . Ronald Brereton and Dr . Hannibal Coach Najjar give of their time and expertise free of charge towards the mental and emotional development of those in the Futsal Program . Following the graduation the MSP Futstars CARAVAN was introduced where those Inmates who graduated went around to the other prison under George ’ s supervision coaching and teaching the new ones . This is where the idea to have the Prison Futsal League ( PFL ) emerged . A total of ten teams are preparing weekly for the league competition as the Women ’ s Prison and Youth Training Centre are preparing themselves for two exhibition games pre and post MSP Futsal League 2018 . The main object of the PFL is for the participants to spread the positives , love and brother hood with the rest of Trinidad and Tobago . “ As they would say ”. “ In the free world ”.
