The Stories of Success Basketball Academy (SOS) enjoyed en-
couraging results on their recent tour to Grenada, with three
wins in as many matches on the Spice Isle. SOS’s first match of
the five-day tour saw them pitted against Grenada Boys’ Secondary School. The young
squad from T&T eased past the reigning Grenada’s Secondary School’s Basketball
champions 101 – 75, highlighted by a lights-out 3-Point shooting display by Ahkeem
Boyd (32 points) and massive contributions from Ahkeel Boyd (24 points), and Nickolai
Mills (20 points). The Academy was back in action on Saturday, this time facing a Gre-
nada National Basketball Association U17 Select team where they managed victory via
a final score of 80 – 57. On Sunday afternoon, SOS rounded off their Grenadian tour
with an 83 - 75 win over the Subway Secondary Schools’ Basketball Championships All-Star team at the Carenage Sporting Complex.
Captain Charles Williams said “I think that I can speak for everybody when I say that it was a great trip. We felt we had prepared
well and we showcased that on the court. Our objectives were met, and taking the positives away from this, we are looking for-
ward to new challenges.” SOS continues to play its part by hosting a number of upcoming “Ball All Summer” Basketball Camps in the
upcoming months
