5 ISSUE no 29, APRIL 2018 Just Join… I Did ! Raymond As part of The Trinidad and Tobago Core Racing Club, Raymond Mudie is quick to announce that “ in T&T the bike group includes some of the friendliest people he has met and loves the real family type atmosphere within the group” . Emerging from Scotland, Raymond and his Father used to ride bikes when he was a child, and he has loved it from that day forward. Twenty three years of riding has seen him racing in Knockhill (Scotland) Losail (Qatar) Circuit of Americas (Austin, TX) and Wallerfield (Trinidad). He has man- aged a few 3 rd place finishes thus far. Being well creo- lized into the T&T culture his aspirations for the sport is to see a full grid of racers here in Trinidad. “It is quick- ly gaining more interest already and a couple of new people to the grid and are doing very well, we just want to try and encourage more people to join.” One of the challenges he believes that is encountered in the sport in T&T is the issue of cost and lack of sponsorship. Through their love of the sport many people are paying from pocket for the majority of their tyres and track fees on race days. He does believe however the potential of the sport remains very promising as riders improve. Looking for the perfect way to unwind after a hectic work week?
