3 ISSUE № 28, FEB 2018 The Trinidad and Tobago Core Racing Club The Trinidad and Tobago Core Racing Club was recently formed and cites as their main goal being to improve motorcy- cle rider’s education on focused track techniques; towards increasing the racing stand- ings at all local and regional events. The group functions informally currently with no one member spearheading at the moment. All matters are discussed amongst all of the riders. Growth of the club is also a key objective and mention is made of the fun atmosphere in which they operate. On race day there is usually a lot of banter amongst the group. “. Its only with the addition of new younger riders that they can ensure motorcycle racing remains vibrant’ and as such people maybe doubtful when thinking they are going to be too slow for the track, but there is encouragement by the members to help others improve”. As such new riders are en- couraged to come join and compete. Coaching is done in a fun but safe and controlled environment. The advice can range from proper personal protection to tyre choice and body position. Towards International recognition T&T recently won the Caribbean Moto racing Championship in Guyana in 2016. Two of their members currently dominat- ing and representing at regional and national level include Nicholas Gonza- les and Kiel Abraham.
