ARUN is Representing !
Young Arun Roopnarine, has been playing table tennis for the past 14 years and as a result
has already represented T&T at the World University Games, World Junior Circuits in
Canada, in Guatemala and El Salvador, the Commonwealth Games, the Latin Ameri-
can Junior Championship, the Caribbean Senior and Junior and the pre-Cadet Cham-
pionships. Interesting enough he actually started with Kung Fu before switching to table ten-
nis. His long term goals include becoming an Aviation Engineer while maintaining his na-
tional table tennis ranking. He is currently in Aviation school as a demonstration of his inten-
tions. In terms of his sport of choice it has allowed him to additionally visit thus far Chinese
Taipei, USA, Martinique, In-
dia, China, Aruba, Curacao,
Dominican Republic, St. Lu-
cia, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Barba-
dos, Austria and Slovakia. In his spare time he enjoys Reading,
watching movies and playing table tennis table at home with his
parents and his brother. Arun is a great example of discipline and
focus paying off. Associations can continue to share their
