The Midlothian Football Team
The Midlothian Football Team based in Loan Head Scotland
is one of the clubs actively involved in playing and promoting
walking football. With 40 members, including women, they
recently won the National Championships of Scotland in the
over 50 category for the event. The club has been existence for
approximately 6 years. They recently visited Trinidad and To-
bago to bring greater awareness to the game. But in so doing
they took the opportunity to align with the Habitat for Hu-
manity by volunteering 3 days to help paint a home in Arima,
cast concrete
in Felicity and
visit a special education school where a coaching session was done on the sport.
Before departing
they hosted a 3 team
competition which
included an invita-
tional Port of Spain
Community Coach-
es Team and another
called the “Chubby
