The East Zone Secondary Schools' Basketball League
The East Zone Secondary Schools' Basketball League (EZSSBL) is an annual tournament
featuring teams from secondary educational institutions, competing in four divisions Boys U15, Boys U17, Boys U20, and Girls Open. A round-robin format is utilized within
each division - with the number of rounds decided by the number of participating teams in
each division each year. Upon completion of all round-robin matches, the top four teams
in each division progress to the East Zone Final Four Championship, where a singleelimination knockout format is used to determine the Champions of the East Zone. The
2016 edition of the EZSSBL got underway in February 2016, with this year's competition
featuring twelve (12) schools - with a total of 25 teams, and match-ups in each division
held weekly at the League's host venue, the Maloney Indoor Sport Arena. Much skill has
been on display on games days so far.
