Brush DJ ( Apple , Android ) This app helps you improve your kids ’ oral hygiene , is fun , easy to use and has no passwords or in-app purchases . Fun for the whole family , the concept is simple : follow onscreen flossing and brushing guidelines for as long as the music is playing ( two minutes ). It has a short but well-chosen music selection , or you can play your own songs from your device .
Even Monsters Get Sick ( Apple , Android ) This app features a charming story with an engaging design . It is aimed at children up to age seven to help them understand that anyone can get sick . For those who can ’ t read yet , there is a “ read to me ” option . Throughout the story , in which the main character discovers his monster is not boring and lazy but in fact unwell , there are a number of interactive activities .
Peppa Pig : Sports Day ( Apple , Android ) A favourite with under-fives , Peppa Pig ’ s friends are enjoying their sports day but need a little help . Multiple players can enjoy the game , participating in bicycle races , an obstacle course , tug of war , long jump and even an ice cream-maker game . It can be played indoors on rainy days , or use it as inspiration to head outside and make your own family sports day .
Take a Chill ( Apple ) It ’ s easy to underestimate the amount of pressure and stress today ’ s teenagers face . This app , launched by the people behind the resourseful website www . stressedteen . com offers exercises , activities and audio files to help teens chill out .
Mum & Baby Exercise – Weekly Workout ( Apple ) This exercise programme for mothers features a weekly video suitable from birth to six months after birth . The routines target specific parts of a mother ’ s body , require no additional equipment and can be done at home . Incorporating strength training , pilates and yoga routines , it calculates the week ’ s exercises for you .
This is my Food – Nutrition for Kids ( Apple ) This app helps primary-school children learn about food and nutrition in a fun way . Part of the initial STEM foundation , it " provides inquiry-based and real world problem-based learning , connecting parts from all four of the STEM subjects .” Learning about the value of good nutrition , kids will also have fun with the interactive designs and learning .
The Johnson & Johnson 7 Minute Workout ( Apple , Android ) This free app helps you squeeze the maximum workout into the minimum time , but at an intensity level that ' s right for you . All you need is a chair and seven minutes ( plus a few minutes extra for warm-up and cool down ). With 72 exercises and 22 workouts that can be customised , the variety is great .
Daily Yoga ( Apple ) This highly regarded yoga app offers a number of programmes , each with a set of scheduled plans and classes to help you achieve your goal . There are step-by-step instructions and Q & As with experts to help you progress . There are more than 100 yoga sessions and fitness programmes , guided meditation tracks and some 500 yoga poses .
