Get there at 6pm when the gates open , settle in and get ready for an evening full of great food , drink and fun featuring live music from recording artists and bands across the state . Last year ’ s festival featured headliner the Cody Johnson Band and they won ’ t be letting you down this year ! What goes best with awesome live music than cold beer and frozen drinks ? They have them ! It ’ s the best of everything , all while enjoying great Texas music right on the beach !
With all the adult fun going on there ’ s also plenty of fun for the kids . “ Kid ’ s Zone ” is everything children love ! Full of rides , games , contests and best of all - FUN ! FREE rides and games – ALL DAY , including a splash pad to keep them cool ! There is so much excitement , fun and more !! Did we mention there will be tons of food ? With so much food and so many different things to eat , even your pickiest eater will scarf it right up . In addition to all the yummy food vendors there is also an IBCA-Sanctioned BBQ Cook Off for those folks who are deadly serious about their BBQ skills !! If you have what it takes , come and show us what you ’ ve got !!
Great food will satisfy your appetite and then it ’ s time to satisfy another – let ’ s go shopping ! There will be vendors from around the state showcasing their incredible and unique items . Chances are good that you ’ ll find that one-ofa-kind item you just can ’ t live without !
And , since it is the Flip Flop Festival after all , there will also be some super cool vendors selling what else but FIP FLOPS !! These are no ordinary shoes you flop on your feet but super cool one-of-a-kind , specialty flip flops that will have all your friends simply peagreen with envy !!
Are we having fun yet or what ??? Getting a little hot out there under the sun ? Don ’ t worry ! There ’ s plenty of shade in the HUGE beer garden , food pavilion and shopping pavilion ! Can ’ t say they don ’ t make it comfortable because the folks at the festival want to make sure EVERYONE is happy and content !
But save some of that energy so you can compete in the Annual Fling Flong Contest ! Better start practicing now and don ’ t forget to bring those special flip flops to win the prize . They ’ ve also got a Horseshoes & Washers Tournament , a Frozen T-Shirt Contest ( that ’ ll cool you off ) and a Children ’ s Sand Castle Building Contest !

Oh and BTW , don ’ t fret about parking because they ’ ve got you covered there too with FREE shuttle service both Friday evening and ALL-DAY on Saturday ! Park the car at the Bauer Community Center ’ s HUGE parking lot and jump on the shuttle . The Bauer Community Center is located at 2300 Hwy 35 . You can ’ t miss it AND it ’ s hassle free !!
