My name is Aaron Christopher Odom. I am the youngest of four children. I'm presently a senior at Renaissance Christian Academy which is located in Mcdonough, Georgia. I began playing football at the age of 11. My grandmother, Jean Simmons, put me on a recreational football team in Hardeeville, South Carolina. Eric Murray was my first coach. I would go to his house and train in hopes of performing at the highest level possible for my age. I started off as a tight end during my early years. Since then I have matriculated to Running Back and most recently Quarterback. I've been playing Varsity football since my freshman year. I've played the majority of my high school football career at Dutchtown High School in Hampton, Georgia before transferring to Renaissance Christian Academy for my senior year of football. Football has taught me some valuable lessons. One important lesson is that in life you're not going to win every battle that you fight. Moreover, there may be times when you feel like you have prepared sufficiently, but still fail. Through the failure that you experience, it’s most important that you show dignity when you fail, and know that another day will always provide another opportunity to triumph.

I attained this same philosophy from my mother, Angelia Odom, of which I have great admiration for. She has instilled the attitude of excellence in me which pushes me to do the best that I possibly can in everything that I decide to apply my skills toward. She has taught me how to be an unselfish and giving person and reminds me that failure is not real until I decide to give up and that humility is something that I must possess everyday of my life in order to succeed. I thank her for teaching me all of these things, without this insight I would not be the person that I am today.
