Assist in expanding the supply of housing near employment centers. The
County could prioritize the allocation of CDBG and HOME funds to projects near

transportation. When making infrastructure improvements, the County may
consider adding project elements such as sidewalks or multi-use paths, in
accordance with the Lake County Policy on Infrastructure Guidelines for NonMotorized Travel Investments, to encourage the use of or connection to the
public transportation system.
