IMPACT SERVICE

On November 22, PJP students delivered 130 full Thanksgiving meals (turkey, gravy, green

beans, corn, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, rolls, and a pie) to local families in

need. Forty members of PJP's Community Service Corps (CSC) delivered the meals to local

parishes, food pantries, and community organizations.

These local organizations included: St. Mary (Schwenksville), St. Aloysius (Pottstown), St.

Patrick (Norristown), Martha's Choice Food Pantry (Catholic Social Services), St. Ann

(Phoenixville), St. Gabriel (Stowe), St. Vincent DePaul Society (Sacred Heart Conference,

Royersford), St. Columbkill (Boyertown), St. Philip Neri (East Greenville), St. Francis of Assisi

(Norristown), and the Fatima Catholic Outreach Center (Bensalem).

More than $6,000 was collected in PJP Theology classes for the past few weeks. CSC

members were given shopping lists, and they spanned out across the area over the weekend

to purchase items at various supermarkets. The meal bags were blessed by Father Kean at

the Thanksgiving Liturgy on Tuesday. Happy Thanksgiving!
