“I have given you a model to follow, so that as I have done for you, you should also do.” (John 13:15) Modeling themselves on the person of Jesus, Pope John Paul II High School students serve others and the community around them, through a Christian Service program that has been integrated into the PJP curriculum. Each student in the course of their four years at PJP will complete at least 58 hours of Christian Community Service. Student are encouraged to serve the elderly, homeless, children, and the disabled. They are encouraged to serve at soup kitchens, Catholic Social Services, Nursing Homes, and their own parish or church. Numerous Christian Service opportunities are offered to students through the School Ministry Office. The number of service hours required for each class in the 2016-2017 school year is as follows: Freshmen 10 hours Sophomores 12 hours Juniors 16 hours Seniors 20 hours
