OUR REBBE’S WORDS “When one accepts a student, one accepts the responsability to ‘build’ them-- to ingnite the Jewish Spark deep within their soul...” The situation today is such that when a child is accepted into a Talmud Torah, or even a Cheder, or even a Yeshivah Ketanah, or even a Yeshivah Gedolah, not only are they not yet on firm footing in knowledge of Torah, they are not even fully grounded in mitzvah observance, and there is a lack in the most essential fundamental: the deep rooted sense of identification that a Jew needs Judaism. That without it, who are they? Therefore, the mission of the Yeshivah is to build the student from the ground up, “foundation to roof,” “foot to head,” not just to see to it that they “know how to learn,” but that they live with mitzvos
