EVERYTHING SEEMED TO GO SO FAST , BUT WE COULDN ’ T HAVE ASKED FOR MORE . IT WAS THE BEST DAY OF OUR LIVES .
and some also thought it was like Hogwarts , which we loved as well ! We got a lot of compliments on how the Disney theme was just right .
We were overwhelmed with emotion on the day . Seeing everything come together was amazing after two years ’ hard work , and it made it all worthwhile . Everything seemed to go so fast , but we couldn ’ t have asked for more . It was the best day of our lives .
It ’ s hard to pick one ‘ best ’ moment as there were so many , however I loved it when we touched hands for the first time . We did a picture of us holding hands round the door , so we did not see each other but got to touch before going down the aisle . It gave me a lot of courage for the big walk down . Then actually waiting at the end of the aisle and turning to see Lena for the first time – I was so overwhelmed that this woman was about to become my wife .
Then there was the magic of our first dance that we had been practising for six months – I loved performing it for our family and friends . We had a mist machine which just added to the special moment – our first time as wife and wife to show off in front of everyone .
Lena ’ s highlights were , firstly , getting ready with family and friends – looking in the mirror and feeling like a bride . She realised at that moment that she was ready . Then walking down the aisle and seeing me – she felt comforted by me waiting for her at the end . One big moment we both commented on was after the ceremony , when we literally had just five minutes all to ourselves . We embraced and held each other , knowing we had just officially become married .
Our top tips for other couples are to set a budget and plan everything well in advance . Don ’ t stress over the little things as they don ’ t matter on the big day – your day will be your kind of perfect . Stop for a minute to take everything in – and enjoy it !
