Have Pickleball, Will Travel

W
hether your
idea of fun
is exploring
across town or across a
continent, today you can
plan your travel and get
your pickleball fix. That’s
a win-win for sure! We
all agree we love our
pickleball and just gotta
play wherever we are, so
luckily there are numerous
travel packages paired with
pickleball to make your life complete—or at least check
off a destination on your bucket list.
We’ve been competing in pickleball tournaments for
eight years, and in our early days the choices were very
limited for travel and pickleball together. As a player,
you’d hear of just one tour available for a week at a cool
destination. We can thank Audrey Phillips for that. She
was the first to create a “pickleball trip,” and her idea was
launched in 2011 on a cruise ship.

With millions of players catching pickleball fever, the love
has been spreading throughout the world. The majority of
players are currently seniors (50+ years) and they’re able to
travel as they approach retirement.
Jennifer Lucore has taken advantage of the game’s
growth beyond the U.S. and has been a part of pickleball
tours/trips/camps/retreats/bootcamps/clinics/ tournaments
in Canada, the Caribbean, Costa Rica, Japan, Mexico, The
Netherlands, Spain and, in 2019, Thailand. If she can find
pickleball all over the world, so can you! With computer
searches and social media, it takes just minutes to see if
your favorite location offers pickleball.
We encourage you to ride the wave and step out of your
neighborhood and see the world with your pickleball bag.

playing pickleball in 2010, and have
competed in tournaments across the USA
(and internationally). Between them, they
have 25 National Titles, including winning
gold in the Women’s Open Doubles at
Nationals for four consecutive years
