Adecer has
fake license
The Makati City police yesterday
filed charges of falsification of public
documents against actor Migo
Adecer for presenting a fake driver’s
license when he was arrested last
week for reckless driving.
Col. Rogelio Simon, Makati police
chief, said they had a meeting with
officials of the Land Transportation
Office last Monday to discuss the
incident.
Simon said police filed the
criminal charges after LTO Metro
Manila director Clarence Guinto
issued a certification attesting that
the license presented by Adecer to
the police was bogus.
Guinto said the agency is looking
at imposing administrative sanctions
against Adecer, such as possible
suspension or permanent revocation
of his license.
Based on LTO records, Adecer
already had four cases of reckless
driving but the agency did not
elaborate if all of the incidents
happened this year.
Adecer, whose real name is
Douglas Errol Dreyfus Adecer, was
arrested along J. P. Rizal St. corner
Pertierra St. in Barangay Poblacion
last March 26 after he allegedly
figured in a “hit and run” incident
which left two employees of the
Metropolitan Manila Development
Authority injured.
Adecer, 19, was driving a white
Subaru BRZ (RO AO12) when he
allegedly hit MMDA employees
Rogelio Formelos Castillano and
Michelle Gallova Papin who were
onboard a motorcycle. The actor
sped off instead of helping the
victims.
Police chased and cornered
Adecer’s vehicle but the latter
attempted to elude arrest and hit a
police mobile.
Adecer, who was also cited a
traffic ticket for reckless driving near
Rockwell an hour before the incident,
presented a fake license during his
arrest.
Adecer was ordered released
from detention after posting bail
worth P3,000 last Thursday.
Simon said the victims will
not anymore file criminal charges
of reckless imprudence resulting
in physical injuries after the actor
shouldered their medical treatment.
Adecer’s arraignment and pre-
trial is scheduled on April 25 at the
Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 64.
Adecer won the “Ultimate Sole
Survivor” title of GMA’s “Starstruck”
in 2015.
Kaye Abad’s
Aiko puts
career on the new life in Cebu
back
Jessy in
“Stranded”
Jessy Mendiola is happy to do her
first movie with Regal, “Stranded,”
also the first time she’s paired with
Arjo Atayde, directed by award-
winning indie filmmaker Ice Idanan
who’s now doing her first mainstream
work in “Stranded.”
“The main bulk of the story
happens only in one night inside a
big warehouse,” she says. “I play
Julia, a woman who lives a very
organized life. Then one stormy
night, I get stranded inside a
warehouse surrounded by floods with
a stranger, si Arjo as Spencer, who’s
the complete opposite of me na
happy go lucky and he doesn’t even
plan his life. Wala siyang direction sa
buhay at all. But what I don’t know
is that our encounter will change my
life.”
How is it working with Arjo and
their young female director?
“Siempre, napadali ang trabaho
namin kasi si Arjo, napakagaling
na aktor. Dati na kaming friends so
comfortable kami agad with each
other. Si Direk Ice naman is a very
good director, so easy to work with
kasi she’s very open to suggestions,
sa inputs na dinaragdag namin
ni Arjo para mas mapaganda ang
interpretation namin sa eksena.”
AIKO Melendez is happy the role
earmarked for her in “Sandugo,” a
series to be topbilled by EJ Falcon,
was given to Vina Morales.
“I know Vina can give justice
to the role, which I would have
loved na gawin if not for a special
and important reason,” stated the
actress.
For the next two months, Aiko will
be busy helping her boyfriend, Subic
Mayor Jay Khonghun, who is running
for vice governor of Zambales.
Mayor Jay’s opponent is Angel
Magsaysay-Cheng, the incumbent
vice governor.
For governor of Zambales, it
is a toss up between incumbent
Governor Amor Delosa, who have
held the important post three times,
and retired General Hermogenes
“Jun” Ebdane, who was a former
governor of the province, too.
Jomari Yllana, Aiko’s ex and
father of her son, Andre, is running
for reelection as councilor of
Parañaque.
The ex-couple, said Aiko, are
friends. “I never make any decision
for Andre, unless I consult with
Jomari first,” said Aiko. “This makes
our son happy.”
Jomari, like Aiko, is in a
relationship with Joy Reyes, who just
gave birth to their first child, a boy.
Aiko has a daughter, Marthena,
with her second husband, Martin
Jickain.
Kaye Abad was married to Paul
Jake Castillo in Cebu on December
9, 2016 and she gave birth to their
first baby, a boy named Joaquin on
December 22, 2017, the birthday of
Paul Jake. Her last TV show was “Two
Wives” in 2015. Now, she’s making
a comeback in ABS-CBN’s new
morning soap, “Nang Ngumiti ang
Langit,” produced by the business
unit of Ruel S. Bayani. She plays the
mother of new child actress Sophia
Reola in the story. So how is it to act
as a mom now that she’s a mother
in real life?
“It’s kinda weird,” she says.
“Dati na nga akong gumaganap
na mom, but now, mommy na ako
talaga. Being one really helped me
in my emotions. It’s easier for me
to assume a nanay part at ipasok
ang sarili ko sa character, kasi nga
mother na talaga ako ng isang real
baby boy.”
So how’s married life?
“Masaya ako as a wife. I’m now
based in Cebu. No regrets that I left
showbiz. But I’m happy kinuha uli
ako ng ABS to act again kasi, after
four years, na-miss ko rin umarte.
I play Ella at kapareha ko rito si RK
Bagatsing as Michael. We come
from warring families, ala-Romeo
and Juliet. Galing ako sa pamilya
ng mga Salvador, with Pilar Pilapil
as the matriarch, Divina, but I’m the
anak sa labas ng husband niya. I
fall in love with RK, who’s from the
Villaluna family led by Dante Rivero,
mortal enemy ng mga Salvador.”
Since she now lives in Cebu,
has she ever crossed paths with her
former boyfriend and “Tabing Ilog”
co-star, John Lloyd Cruz, who now
also lives there with his partner, Ellen
Adarna, and their own son?
“No, never. Lagi naman akong
lumalabas but not once ko pa siyang
nakita. Ayaw siguro ng tadhana na
magkita kami. I don’t even know his
number.” ( J.M Felipe/E. Ramos/M.
Bautista, Malaya)
