episode of its “It’s Showtime”
franchise on March 25.
Jugs Jugueta, a host on
“It’s Showtime” Philippines, said
so on Instagram. He greeted
his followers a good morning
in Malay then said he still can’t
believe their “humble variety show
would one day have an Indonesian
franchise!”
“Indonesia is very close to my
heart because aside from having
pescetarian-friendly
mouth-
watering food, this is where my
wife @andeebanandee lived for
nine years!,” the vocal band singer-
turned-host continued. “I love the
culture, I love the people, and did
I mention that I love Indonesian
food?!”
He and “It’s Showtime” co-
host and director, Teddy Corpuz
and Bobet Vidanes, respectively,
will fly to Jakarta to join the
premiere on March 25.
Prior, MNCTV confirmed
the acquisition of the franchise
through a Facebook post which
showed a lyric video of “It’s
Showtime’s” theme song in
Bahasa.
The Philippine noontime
variety show – which turns 10 next
year – is hosted by Vice Ganda,
Anne Curtis, Amy Perez, Mariel
Rodriguez, Vhong Navarro, Ryan

nagko-contact-an ni Marvin pero
hindi lang talaga kami nabibigyan
ng chance maupo tapos pag-
usapan,” she said in ABS-CBN’s
“Magandang Buhay.”
“Two months ago, galing siya
sa ibang bansa, sabi niya ‘yun daw
‘yung aasikasuhin niya hanggang
2019 dahil gusto talaga namin
gumawa ng project na involved
talaga kami,” she added.
The TV personality also hoped
it would be a movie to continue
the story of Ned and Bujoy and
both of them will be “hands-on”
with the production.
“Gusto namin pelikula eh.
Either co-prod or talagang hands
on kami dun sa project, dun sa
istorya, sa lahat. Basta gusto
namin something na konektado
sa ‘Labs Kita, Okay Ka Lang?’ Kasi
20 years na ‘yung pelikulang ‘yun
eh. So anong nangyari kay Ned at
Bujoy talaga, di ba?” Magdangal
said.

industry.

Bayani Agbayani says
2019 turning to be
a good year for him
“Ako kasi, hindi nagpaplano,”
he says. “This year, ang daming
blessings na galing mula kay
Lord. After doing supporting
roles, heto, I have two movies na
ako ang male lead. Nag-guest
naman ako sa ‘I Can See Your
Voice,’ nagustuhan nila at ginawa
akong regular.”
Bayani played supporting
roles in “Woke Up Like This”
and “Mary, Marry Me.” Now, he
is Gelli de Belen’s leading man
in “Pansamantagal” and in a
new movie with Ai Ai De Las,
“Feelennials,” produced by Pops
Fernandez.
“Hindi ko rin ine-expect ang
projects na ito na magbibida ako.
Like I said, ‘di ako nagpaplano
ng buhay ko. Nobody knows the
future, so i-enjoy mo lang kung
ano ang ibinibigay ni Lord sa iyo.
I never expected nga na balang
araw, mag-aartista pala ako. Si
God ang nagpaplano for me.”
In “Pansamantagal,” he
plays Leo, a writer who’s having
problems in his personal life so he
goes to the beach to chill and relax.
There, he meets Gelli de Belen as
Agnes, who has problems of her
own. How is it working with Gelli
de Belen?
“Ever since, fan na talaga
ako ni Gelli. Kasi magaling siya
kahit saan mo dalhin, comedy
man or drama. So pangarap
ko talagang makatrabaho siya.
Unang natupad ang pangarap ko
nang magkasama kami sa isang
TV sitcom sa TV5, at ngayon,
heto, sa pelikula na.” ●
