“ It took us two half-days of four hours each . One afternoon and one morning and that ’ s about it . She definitely enjoyed [ it ] – including all the chocolate cakes . It was the part after the shoot where you have to explain to the child what that meant – ‘ di ba ? – why she was smiling , acting , laughing , and the concept of acting , fortunately , this girl gets it . She saw the camera and saw the commercial . She knows it ’ s for the commercial . So hindi na masyado kailangan ng explanation ,” he shared at Scarlet ’ s launch last March 2 in Ortigas .
The adorable Scarlet Snow has a strong online presence and is one of the most popular babies on social media , but Hayden said he and wife Vicki never intended to make their daughter an online personality .
“ We had no plans naman to open the ( Instagram ) account until she ’ s aware that there is social media [ that ] exists , but when Vicki accidentally announced on CNN that [ Scarlet ] was born and she ’ s here and we have a baby , I thought I ’ ll take control na , kesa ibang tao gumawa ng bagong account and ‘ yun ‘ yung akala ng mga tao na tunay na account … . Might as well take control .
“ But what I realize about social media is that it ’ s not going to go away . It ’ s here to stay . The question is what kind of message will you put out through your social media ? Scarlet – eventually at [ age ] 11 or 12 or 13 – she ’ ll start asking . For us , we decided we ’ re only going to post about faith , family , friendship – all positive stuff – compassion , love , tenderness , and all that ,” he said
Meanwhile , Vicki Belo said a typical day in their home starts and ends with their charming little girl . “ A typical day is she sleeps with us . I usually go to yoga in the morning but it ’ s hard for me to go now kasi she ’ ll say , ‘ Our family is not complete , Mommy !’ She goes to play school . Then she comes home and then she sleeps . We have so many lessons for her . She starts with Chinese Mandarin , she has swimming , she has gymnastics , she has reading class , piano , voice lessons . She enjoys it naman . The best thing is really time with daddy . Her daddy is the best storyteller in the world . We want her to be totally normal , as far as we can make her normal ,” she said . ●

Rita Moreno wore Pitoy Moreno 1962 gown at Oscars
Rita Moreno ’ s gown to the 90th Academy Awards made headlines today , March 5 ( Philippine time ).
After 56 years , it made its second appearance at the Dolby Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard , Hollywood , California , U . S . A .
The gown finally made it to the Oscar red carpet .
Guess who designed it ? Pitoy Moreno , Asia ’ s fashion czar who died on January 15 , 2018 .
The 86-year-old Hollywood star first wore the gown in 1962 , when she won Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the West Side Story
Ḃack then , “ They didn ’ t have a red carpet ... It was so different .”
Here are the other details she told Ryan Seacrest in a brief interview : “ I thought it would tarnish .
“ This is a 56-year old gown that I wore when I won my Oscar in 1962 . This is the dress .
“ It ’ s been hanging in my closet , and I go and stroke it now and then .
“ I just love — it was an amazing night .”
According to her , the black gown is made of obi , the same material used in Japanese kimonos , and was purchased from the Philippines . Making a slight change to the silhouette , Moreno turned the high , boat neckline cut of the dress into a strapless neckline . She even wore the same black satin opera length gloves .
Rita is one of the 12 people in the U . S . entertainment history to have won a Grammy , an Emmy , an Oscar , and a Tony . ●
