How far would you go to help a friend ? Looks like the sky ’ s the limit for a group of comrades-in-arms trying to take on an evil behemoth in the adrenalin-pumping Maze Runner : The Death Cure . Thought to be the grand finale of this restless trilogy , 20th Century Fox has pulled out all the stops so our heroes go out with a bang . Catch the fever at Cineplex Theatres around B . C .
Speaking of B . C . this actioner framed on fantasy was filmed in British Columbia . Perhaps unbeknownst to most film-goers the film gained some local notoriety when its star suffered a serious accident . Luckily he pulled through unlike the fate of a stunt woman who suffered a fatal motorcycle accident when filming Deadpool 2 in downtown Vancouver .
Here we have a tale of survival . Out to keep its citizens secluded from the elites and under full martial law and mind control are the leaders / rulers of WCKD - not to be confused with the hit Broadway play . Out to break through their wall of protection are the revolutionaries / freedom fighters known as Gladers . Led by the charismatic Thomas , this motley crew engage in all sorts of heroics to take back their city - and by extension the world . Girls may pine over Dylan O ’ Brien , while guys will definitely like the action scenes and fights .
Atmosphere and imagination matters in these kinds of post-apocalyptic doomsday scenarios and Maze Runner : The Death Cure acquits itself quite well here , ●

Cut from the Nicolas Sparks playbook this certifiable three hanky tear-jerker from Elevation Pictures will appeal to that young teenage girl demographic . Sure to be a hard-sell for the guys . Gals may find this saccharine laced romantic lark worth heading to your neighbourhood Cineplex cinemas around B . C .
Being burned can stick with you . Home town high school sweethearts Josie and Liam Page seem like the logical couple destined to live happily ever after . Fairytale endings may not be in the cards for Alex Roe and Jessica Rothe . Cold feet sees both go their own ways with Liam becoming a wildly successful music star .
Happy living the simple life Josie busies herself working at a local store while her former lover lives the good life in a jetset world . But are these two really happy ? Odds are good you know the answer . Absence makes the heart grow fonder - as does distance .
Despite hard feelings through a somewhat staged scripting the two ultimately re-connect . Whether lightning can strike twice is the question of the day . Forever My Girl turns out to be a typical sappy love story - the kind we ’ ve all seen before . Good performances and nice singing and a few surprises sprung along the way help make this drama passable . ●
