The acting is really great, in- cluding the support given by Agot Isidro as JM’s mo- ther. The ending of “Kung Paano” is the type that is so bitin and most viewers don’t like that kind of non- conclusive movie. But it’s still very much worth a look because of the very good actors.  It’s just sad both mo- vies are not doing well at the tills. Maybe moviegoers have had enough of ro- mantic “hugot” films? And why did these two movies of the same genre have to open simultaneously and compete with each other when they have the same target market? In the pro- cess, they only hurt each other badly.● Robi D. is dating again this Xmas her heart – cancer aware- ness, animal welfare, and, ultimately, equal rights for her brothers and sisters from the rainbow commu- nity. Such is why she was given the Equality Cham- pion Award, presented to her  by LGBTQ+ groups during the Equality Night last Thursday, November 15. “Filipinos have always been known to be a people of love, and I believe that love is never discrimina- tory; love is inclusive to all, regardless of age and sexual orientation,” wrote Heart on Instagram Friday, November 16. She said she is deter- mined to continue cham- pioning the rights of the minority group. “Thank you for giving me the Equality Champion Award. I will continue to create awareness for the rights of the LGBTQIA+ commu- nity, and will encourage everybody to do the same. Let’s all join forces to crea- te a Philippines that is di- verse, accepting, and full of love.”● - J.M. Felipe, Malaya If fate favors him, Robi Domingo won’t have a blue Christmas this year. The actor-host-dan- cer admitted in a recent in- terview he is dating again, more than a year after he and Gretchen Ho called it quits. Robi said the woman is not from showbiz. Ea- gled-eyed netizens spe- culated it is Atenista and college batchmate Maqui in the top-rating teleserye “Halik,” the actor revealed he has also been getting death threats.  “Grabe ‘yung reaction of people. I think people just really can relate to it a lot. And yeah, I have some death threats, though,” he said during his contract renewal with ABS-CBN. Then again, Sam believes the kind of reactions he’s been getting is also proof he is doing a great job. “People are just venting out their frustrations about the show, sometimes attacking me as a person, not a character. But yeah, I’m happy that people are affected,” he added. He feels happy not just about the positive feedback from fans, but also the kind of people he gets to mingle with on the set. “I’m just really happy about how things are going. It’s an amazing cast, the production also. It’s intense, obviously, but happy kami sa set,” he stated. Sam plays the role of Ace, a man who is having an affair with Jericho Rosales’s wife, played by Yam Concepcion.● give heartfelt performan- ces in “Through Night & Day” that starts as a rom- com then forays into so- mething else.  Alex is Jen and Paolo is Ben. They’re neighbors in Baguio who have been on for 13 years. They go to Iceland together and start bickering over some petty things that escalate because of what seems to be Jen’s unexpected be- havior. When they return to Baguio, the story takes a 360 degree turn from something light to some- thing dark and, of course, we’ll not spoil it all for you. Some of the scenes that follow are unabashed tear- jerkers, so please bring a hanky with you because the solid and touching acting of the two leads makes the schmaltzy, weirdly morbid turn of events all the more very affecting.  Paolo Contis is bet- ter looking and definitely a better actor than most romantic leading men we have now. We hope this film really opens new do- ors for him as he most certainly deserves to play lead and not just villain or comic roles. The jaw-dro- pping beauty of Iceland is displayed to advantage in the movie.● Thea Tolentino has finally appeared in “Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko” as Venus, the former Nathan played by Jason Abalos who is the closet queen husband of Kris Bernal as Rachel. Ja- son staged his own death, taking his daughter with Rachel along with him. Kris then almost became mad thinking that both her husband and daughter have died and she was in- consolable for a while.  Nathan goes abroad and has a sex reassign- ment operation to become Venus. Venus stays in a ho- tel abroad when her daug- hter goes missing and she thinks Rayver Cruz as Ga- vin kidnapped her daug- hter but the girl only got lost and it’s Rayver who re- turned her. It was a case of love at first sight for both of them, without Rayver knowing that Venus is ac- tually a former married man.  So how does Thea feel portraying the role of a former man?  “At first, I thought, mahihirapan ako kasi baka hindi ko ma-approximate ang movements ni Jason Abalos as Nathan. But I watched him in his past episodes and I think naku- ha ko naman ang core ng Pineda since the two have everything. My heart is in personality at character been spotted together in a good state.
