Luis and Jessy enjoy minivacation
After attending the wedding of his close friend Anne Curtis in New Zealand last month , Luis Manzano said he really enjoyed the mini vacation with his girlfriend Jessy Mendiola .
“ I loved the tranquility . Sobra sobra ‘ yung serenity . Extremes ang New Zealand . You have how quiet the mountains are and everything at the same time you have your bungee and skydiving . Kami ni Jessy , nakapag-skydive kami . ‘ Yun ang na-enjoy ko , ‘ yung extremes ,” he said
Apart from visiting countries like Thailand and Japan , Luis said he also wants to see more of the local provinces with Jessy . “ We want to travel to a lot of places sa Philippines muna . Like Dumaguete for diving . Ang dami naming gustong puntahan . Kahit nga Davao for diving . But in other places naman , there ’ s Tuscany , Maldives , Palau . I ’ ve never been there so it ’ s going to be a first for us ,” he related .
Luis admitted he was inspired by Anne ’ s wedding even though he has not yet popped the question yet .
“ It gave us a good idea of what we want kung saka-sakali mang dumating ang araw ng wedding namin . We spoke about it . Baka . It might be a destination wedding ,” he shared .
Despite all the negative comments online regarding Jessy , Luis said there is a side of her he wishes the public could see . “ Kung gaano siya kakulit . Sobrang kulit siya and kasi ‘ yung roles niya most of the time very sexy and siren . Pero if you know how humble and how simple she really is ,” he added . ●
Ruru grateful in his career
Ruru Madrid is grateful for the positive developments in his showbiz career at present . Apart from his popularity , his acting skill is also getting recognized . Recently , he tied with Dingdong Dantes as Best Drama Actor in the recently concluded PMPC Star Awards for Television .
“ I ’ m simply blessed with everything that ’ s happening in my career as of now . That award from the PMPC is really something . I shared the stage with Kuya Dong , imagine ? That role in Encantadia ( Prinsipe Ybrahim ) in which I was cited is originally his . It ’ s really a huge honor to share the award with someone whom I look up to in the business ,” he avers .
Ruru is happy to be part of Production 56 Artists , the talent company and production house owned and managed by multiawarded film and television director Maryo J . delos Reyes .
“ Yes ! They take very good care of me . I can feel their support every step of the way . Direk Maryo is one strong force why I reached my present stature . That ’ s why I always give my 100 per cent in all the projects that are coming my way .”
Speaking of projects , after the successful run of Encantadia , the appealing lad is proud that he will soon have a solo show under the GMA Telebabad block .
“ That ’ s right ! It ’ s titled Sherlock . It ’ s a nice start for 2018 . I ’ m flattered with the confidence my mother studio has given me with this project . This early , I ’ m asking for the support of my fans and the viewers in general to patronize it ,” says Ruru . ●
Solenn Heussaff talks about holidays
For celebrity multi-slashie Solenn Heussaff , the holiday season is such a welcome treat what with a full year of non-stop work for her flourishing career . Besides getting to slow down for a few days , she also admitted that she is a true fan of Christmas .
“ I love Christmas !” she gushed like a little girl . “ Christmas decorations , Christmas songs , I love !”
“ Every year para sa akin , pinaka-masaya talaga ang Christmas . Para sa akin , pinaka-important na nandoon kaming lahat as a family so I make sure na I spend time with them and that we eat , eat , eat together ! No diets at Christmas !” the ever-svelte Franco-Filipino personality added laughing .
And so like every other year , Christmas will be spent with the growing Heussaff clan .
“ Usually , every Christmas Eve , si Erwann ( her brother ) ang nagluluto . So , it will be him , me , Anne ( Curtis , her new sister-inlaw ), my other sister and her husband , and another sibling is coming home from Singapore !” she added excitedly .
Asked if her Argentinian husband Nico Bolzico — whose funny antics have made him more popular this year all on his own — will be with them , Heussaff said he will be flying out to see his family as he always does for the holidays .
“ It ’ s the only time he gets to go home ,” she explained . “ Dapat pupunta ako since it ’ s part of my duty din as a wife . Pero nung makita ko ‘ yung mga gagawin ko for next year , sabi ko kay Nico na it ’ s not yet time . May one week off ako , pero papuntang Argentina 30 hours na ‘ yung trip . Not worth it na nandun lang ako ng four days .”
New home for
Dabarkards in 2018
“ Eat Bulaga ” will be moving to its new home next year .
On the road to its big 4-0 in 2019 , the country ’ s longest-running noontime program will be leaving the Eastside Theater of Broadway Centrum for a state-ofthe-art , 600-seater studio housed in APT Studios along Marcos Highway in Cainta , Rizal .
April is the target , said “ Eat Bulaga ” producer Antonio P . Tuviera .
There will be two studios , one for live productions and another for tapings , in the four-storey structure , which will be for the exclusive use of Television and Production Exponents ( TAPE ).
“ It costs half a billion pesos ,” Tuviera added .
Before the big move , however , there will be other things to look forward to . Tuviera said all the Dabarkads – the “ Eat Bulaga ” gang – will be complete on January 1 as the show welcomes the new year .
“ Lahat ,” he stressed , without mentioning any names .
Currently , some of the regular hosts are inactive . Pauleen Luna-Sotto gave birth to her firstborn with husband Vic Sotto last November 6 and is on maternity leave while Ryan Agoncillo is still recuperating from a motorbike accident .
Since November 27 when she released a lengthy letter on social media about the stress of celebrity , Maine Mendoza has not been seen in the show . She is rumored to be vacationing abroad . ●
The two have gotten used to being apart during the Christmas holidays but still cannot help missing each other . Fortunately , technology today makes it easier for them to communicate .
“ OK lang naman sa amin kasi siyempre his family , nandun . And hindi naman ako selfish or possessive . Buong year nandito na siya sa akin . It ’ s just one month – every December .” ●
