Isabel Granada’s remains arrives in the Philippines

Granada’s
re-
mains accorded with mili-
tary honors at the airport.
The remains of Isabel Granada
has arrived in the Philippines via
Philippine Airlines PR 685 on
Thursday morning, November 9.
According to a report, Grana-
da’s son Hubert and husband
Arnel Cowley were at the cargo
warehouse of Philippine Airlines.
Her casket was immediately
wrapped in a Philippine flag, as
Granada was an enlisted airwom-
an of the Philippine Airforce.
In
2001, Ms. Granada
graduated with a degree of B.S.
Aeronautical Engineering from
the Philippine Air Transport and
Training Services (PATTS) Col-
lege of Aeronautics.
The actress-singer with Span-
ish blood is an Airwoman Second
Class (AW2C) of the PAF.
Dressed in gala white uni-
form, members of the Philippine
Airforce were also present.
The family has decided to
hold a two-day wake starting Fri-
day, November 10 at the Sanctu-
ario de San Jose parish in Green-
hills East, Mandaluyong, where
the public can pay their last re-
spects to the actress, before she
is cremated on Sunday, Novem-
ber 12.
Her “That’s Entertainment”
collegue Chuckie Dreyfus re-
leased the official schedule of Is-
abel Granada’s wake and funeral
on Facebook Thursday.
Granada fell into coma on
October 24 due to aneurysm and
was declared brain dead by doc-
tors in Qatar on October 27. She
flew to Qatar on October 17 upon
an invitation to be a spokesperson
at the Philippine Trade and Tour-
ism Conference. She was accom-
panied by her husband Arnel Cow-
ley, for a trip that was supposed to
be a celebration of sorts for their
anniversary.●
