A brilliant advice from Charo Santos
Charo Santos fondly recalls her first major purchase as Baron Travel Girl in the late seventies when she traveled all around the world .
“ Before I thought of owning a car , I thought of owning a diamond !” says the award-winning actress and entertainment executive . “ I thought that a diamond was something I could keep forever .”
Over the years , she has learned more about diamonds and jewelry , which makes her the ideal choice as the newest face of My Diamond ’ s newest campaign , Choosing True Brilliance . And she has plenty of brilliant advice for girls hoping to get their first piece of diamond jewelry . She says the experience , while very personal , is empowering .
“ You can ’ t make a mistake with simple studs ,” she says . “ Personally , I go for earrings for everyday wear – it ’ s simple and classic .”
With her low-key and downto-earth personality , she wears more fabulous pieces only during special occasions , like the recent Star Magic Ball .
Diamonds are more than fashion accessories , she insists . “ Diamonds can inspire us women to work harder and they can give us a sense of security .”

Claudine reacts to Joshua and Julia tandem
“ Ako , ayaw ko talaga . Ayaw ko na sila ‘ yung next .”
This was Claudine Barretto ’ s response when asked by ABS- CBN at the 2017 Star Magic Ball if she wants her niece Julia Barretto , and actor Joshua Garcia , to follow in the footsteps of her tandem with the late actor Rico Yan .
A photo of Joshua and Julia made headlines online recently and many fans commented that they have similarities with Claudine and Rico ’ s team-up .
Claudine explained she wants Joshua and Julia ’ s tandem , collectively called “ JoshLia ,” to surpass what she and Rico had achieved .
“ Bilang pamangkin ko , I want na higitan pa niya ‘ yun sana . Given the right projects lang , she ’ s doing very well . Magaling siyang umarte . Naniniwala ako na kaya niya . Kaya nila ,” she stated . ●

Cyber bullying is something Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo strongly oppose . The “ KathNiel ” love team , who were appointed as Filipino celebrity influencers of the non-government organization Cybersmile Foundation , remained firm about their stand against it .
“ Siguro ‘ yung mga tao na kung ano-ano nasasabi online , sana maiwasan . Kasi hindi nila alam ‘ yung epekto noon sa ibang tao . Hindi siya maganda . Sana ‘ yun ang ma-promote natin dito , especially sa Philippines ,” Kathryn said .
Daniel said bullies should stop spreading hate online . “ Huwag tayong mag-spread ng bad vibes na balita sa internet and huwag tayo nang ba-bad vibes ng taong hindi natin kilala . And be careful kasi baka ‘ yung iba , mga nanggagamit lang . May mga ganun , mga nagpapanggap . So be careful baka maging biktima tayo ,” he explained
The two stars were interviewed following the online backlash that Angel Locsin received after she returned to “ La Luna Sangre .”
Recently , Angel took the time to defend herself from bashers .
“’ Di ba fan ka ? Ba ’ t hindi mo tulungan i-promote ‘ yung advocacy ng idols mo ? Napapasama pangalan nila ,” the actress told one of the naysayers on Instagram . ●
Gerald & Bea sweetness together
There ’ s no denying now that Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo are together .
