Kris ends Impostora
Kris Bernal is both sad and also glad that her hit afternoon drama , “ Impostora ,” is ending this month . “ Siempre , malungkot kami kasi naging close na kami ng lahat ng mga kasama ko sa show dahil magkasama kami sa taping for almost a year ,” she says . “ We started airing in July but several months before pa , nag-start na kami ng taping . I ’ m really thankful we had a successful seven-month run . Pero masaya rin ako kasi sobrang nakakapagod talaga ang trabaho ko playing the dual roles of Nimfa and Rosette in the story . It ’ s not only physically but also emotionally draining . Ngayon makakapag-rest na ako and I ’ m going to Iceland to experience winter there . Gusto ko ring makita ang famous aurora borealis or northern lights . Nasa bucket list ko yan as a dream destination . It ’ s my reward para sa sarili ko after all the hirap at pagod na pinagdaanan ko these past several months doing two roles .”
Kris also vows to invest her earnings more wisely , first in real estate , then in the businesses she ’ s putting up . After her burger joints , she ’ s putting up a Korean grill restaurant . “ Kaysa puro sa shoes and bags napupunta ang kita ko , ilalagay ko na lang sa lupa na mabilis tumaas ang value at sa bagong business ko .”
Her associate in the new Korean business she ’ s putting up is said to be her current boyfriend who some folks say is a DOM . “ Hindi ko pa siya boyfriend kasi we ’ re still getting to know each other . At hindi rin po siya DOM . Batang-bata po siya . As of now , dahil private person siya , let ’ s just respect his privacy at wag na natin i-showbiz .” ●
James welcomes 2018 !
James Reid ’ s new music video from a song in his latest album is directed by his girlfriend , Nadine Lustre . How does he feel about it ?
“ Magaling siya !” he says . “ Definitely , pasado siya and I ’ m very proud of her . We had fun together while she ’ s directing me because she knows exactly what she wants , even the whole concept for the video . She sets up the cameras herself and she knows the best angles she likes .”
They have their pre-Valentine concert , “ Revolution , The Jadine Concert ” at the Big Dome on February 11 . How different is it from their past show ?
“ This is more artsy as we ’ re showcasing our own music here , the songs from my new album . Before kasi , it ’ s heavily based sa themes of our teleseryes , ‘ On the Wings of Love ’ and ‘ Till I Met You ’. This one features more original music and the message of our concert ’ s title , ‘ Revolution ’, which says we should change , stop all the bashing and the hating and just spread love , a new age of love , like a love revolution .”
He didn ’ t do any movie last year but this time , he ’ s doing no less than three new films . First is “ Miss Granny ” with Sarah Geronimo , based on a hit Korean movie , directed by Joyce Bernal . “ Then I have a new movie with Nadine , ‘ Never Not Love You ,’ directed by Antoinette Jadaone who directed us in OTWOL before . Then before the year is over , I ’ m doing the remake of ‘ Pedro Penduko ’. ●
Annabelle Rama not managing Duterte ’ s granddaughter
Annabelle Rama wants to make it clear that she ’ s not the manager of presidential granddaughter Isabelle Duterte .
“ Noong una ako , pumayag akong i-manage siya at dinala ko kay Boss Vic ng Viva ,” she says . “ Bago siya pina-sign ng contract , I asked her kung may permiso siya ng father niya , si Paulo Duterte na vice mayor ng Davao . Wala raw . Pero sabi niya , no need daw kasi pinayagan na siya ng mama niya , si Lovely . But sabi ko , humingi ka muna ng permiso sa dad mo . Ama mo ‘ yun . Nang mag-usap kami uli , sabi niya ayaw raw , hindi siya pinayagan , mag-aral na lang daw siya muna . So binitawan ko , kasi kung ako man ‘ yun , ayoko ring mag-artista ang anak kong minor nang wala akong permiso . Respetuhan lang .”
What can she say now that the rift between father and daughter got worse , especially after Vice Mayor Paulo Duterte was vilified by his own daughter in social media for allegedly beating up her friend ?
“ Ay , labas na ako diyan . That ’ s a problem between the two of them . Alam ko kung anong nangyari , but I ’ d rather keep quiet about it .” ●

Dennis is back on TV
Dennis Trillo is known as the “ Kapuso Drama King ” for his countless acting awards in both films and TV shows . He now plays the title role in GMA-7 ’ s first new show to be aired in 2018 , “ The One That Got Away ” or TOTGA . This will replace “ My Korean Jagiya ” starting January 15 . This is Dennis ’ follow up to his bidakontrabida role in “ Mulawin Vs . Ravena ,” a fantasy-drama .
“ This show is a welcome break for me after ‘ Mulawin ’ na mabigat ang role ko ,” says Dennis . “ This one is much lighter and told with plenty of humor . I feel so blessed dahil hindi lang isa kundi tatlo sa top actresses ng GMA ang makakapareha ko . We ’ re having so much fun sa taping namin . Nakakatawa ang show pero marami kayong matutuhan about romance and relationships .”
Dennis plays Liam , a young and goodlooking businessman from a rich buena familia who lives in their ancestral home with just his yaya . An animal lover , he also likes all things antique . He is paired with Lovi Poe as Alex , Rhian Ramos as Zoe and Max Collins as Darcy . Supporting them are Jason Abalos , Ivan Dorschner , Snooky Serna , Bembol Roco , Ayra Mariano , Ervic Vijandre , Nar Cabico and “ Starstruck ” winner Migo Adecer . ●
