Lovi Poe is justifiably grinning from ear to ear since everyone who has seen her new movie , “ The Significant Other ,” says she ’ s the most effective and persuasive player among the leads .
“ Hindi naman ako lang ,” she demurs . “ It ’ s a group effort . All of us collaborated and gave our best to make sure we ’ ll come up with a good film and we ’ re thankful na lahat ng nanood ng movie namin , nagustuhan ito and it ’ s now doing very well at the box office .”

friends while Lovi joined the rest of her co-stars . But Lovi approached him and gave him a kiss before joining her co-stars . Now everyone is wondering what Chris ’ reaction was when he saw Lovi in sizzling scenes with Tom Rodriguez in the movie .
“ It ’ s not at all an issue for him ,” says Lovi . “ He ’ s liberal minded and he knows that being an actress , doing such scenes is part of what my job requires .”
Lovi is really doing well on both the big and small screens these days . On TV , her portrayal of Alex in “ The One That Got Away ” or TOTGA is also a hit . She plays a jolly TV host who ’ s a “ babaeng bakla ” ( female faggot ) in the way she behaves .
Satisfied audiences now express in social media how much they ’ re really enjoying her rollicking performance in various scenes .
A new addition in TOTGA is Renz Fernandez , the son of the late Rudy Fernandez . He does very well in his scenes with Lovi , who happens to be the daughter of the late Fernando Poe Jr . It ’ s amusing to see the children of two action icons of local films now interacting with each other . The 21- year-old actress explained , “ Siguro yung oras , yun ang pinakakalaban naming lahat dito , yung for airing ...
“ K u n - wari , may isang scene kaming gustong gawin , mapu-frustrate ka na kung mayroon lang kaming enough time para mas pagandahin with the effects and everything .
“ Alam ko napu-frustrate din yung mga nanonood .
“ Pero they have to understand kung saan kami nanggagaling .
“ Yung mga tao sa taping halos mamatay-matay na , halos di na sila nakakauwi para lang maiere .
“ Yun lang ang pinakamalaking challenge sa show na ito .”
She also recalled , “ Imagine , nag-start kami ng airing na two weeks
pa lang ang pondo namin .
“ So , ‘ yong buong show na yun , inabutan na kami ng two weeks for airing , for airing , for airing .
“ Mayroon kaming isang time o maraming times na yung isang buong episode [ na shino-shoot ] mostly for airing .
“ Yun yung pinakamahirap , hindi lang sa amin , nahihirapan ang mga tao , nahihirapan ang mga directors .”
Kathryn said they could have done better if there was enough time to do each episode of La Luna Sangre .

“ But with the limited time , yun ang pinaka-challenging .”
Daniel shared the same sentiment , “ Wala namang mahirap kung may oras , di ba ? Yun lang naman .”
Despite this , the 22-year-old actor still took pride in their TV show , especially those who worked behind the scenes .
He said , “ Lahat naman kami , sa set namin , lahat ng crew , lahat ng direktor , 100 percent pa rin ang ibinibigay namin para mapaganda [ ang programa ].
“ Nangyari na , e . There ’ s no turning back . Ano pa ang gagawin natin ?
“ So , trinabaho namin nang trinabaho ‘ yon and hindi siya naging madali , ang hirap gumawa ...”
He further stressed , “ Imagine sa isang pelikula , ilang taon , ilang araw , ilang buwan nila ginagawa ang effects .
“ Sa atin , overnight , minsan nga , ie-ere na mamaya yung effects .
“ Kaya natin sumabay , e , wala namang problema sa effects natin , kaya nating gawin ‘ yon .
“ The problem is the time , yun lang .”
Nevertheless , both Kathryn and Daniel hope to give the best to avid viewers of La Luna Sangre .( N . Almo , pep )
Atom Araullo on making news with his personal pursuits
Having been used to reporting the news for several years , Atom Araullo admits that he is not used to making headlines himself . But since being cast in the title role of Mike de Leon ’ s anticipated comeback film “ Citizen Jake ” in late 2016 , the 35- year-old broadcast journalist turned TV host turned film actor has made news on several occasions . Atom has been more visible as of late and often finds himself in the center of the spotlight that he used to devote to his coverages as a news reporter .
From posting his views on controversial political issues to his recent transfer of networks from ABSCBN to GMA-7 and more recently to hosting “ Adventure Your Way ,” a weekly travel shows that airs on cable and satellite network AXN , Atom is just about everywhere . In a recent interview with InterAksyon and other media , Atom said
his adventurous nature allows him to be bolder in trying out new things and getting out of his comfort zone .
“ It may seem that news and current affairs has nothing to do with film or not related to a travel show . But they ’ re all mediums of communication . At the end of the day , a person will embody these different mediums . I guess the common element there is I ’ m at the center of all these different things I ’ m doing ,” he noted .
“ If I ’ m just true to myself , I ’ ll let the audience decide whether or not they will support me in these endeavors . But ultimately it doesn ’ t really matter . The important thing is how it makes me feel and the lessons I learned , how it supports my other endeavors .”
And whether or not he is in the public eye , Atom says he ’ s just glad that he ’ s able to do these things now in what he describes as the “ middle stage ” of his career . “ I ’ m just having a lot of fun . There are a lot of things I want to do in many different fields I ’ m trying to pursue at the moment . I like the idea of having to explore many different interests and seeing where those thing lead , be open to mistakes along the way , and just having a fun journey ,” he quipped .
Atom said the crowdsourcing nature of his new series “ Adventure Your Way ” provides him with the perfect platform for what he ’ s trying to achieve . The show is pretty much dictated by what his followers post on social media . “ One suggestion is for me to actually fly a plane , which takes one day to learn .
There are a lot of different levels to flying a plane but to actually be inside a tiny plane and having control over it was both nerve-wracking and
quite thrilling ,” he confessed . Other suggestions involve things that are already on Atom ’ s bucket list including skydiving , bungee jumping and camping on a cliff ledge under the stars .
