To apply for the parent and grandparent super visa , you must :
• be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada ,
• be allowed to enter Canada and
• meet certain other conditions .
Note : You cannot include dependants in this application .
Immigration officers consider several things before they decide if you can come to Canada . You must be a real visitor to Canada who will leave by choice at the end of your visit . An officer will look at these things when you apply :
• your ties to your home country ,
• the purpose of your visit ,
• your family and finances ,
• the overall economic and political stability of your home country , and
• an invitation from a Canadian host .
You must also :
• prove that your child or grandchild in Canada meets a

• provide a written statement from that child or grandchild that he or she will give you financial support ,
• have valid Canadian medical insurance coverage for at least one year and
• have an immigration medical exam .
HOW DOES THE PARENT AND GRANDPARENT SUPER VISA DIFFER FROM A VISITOR VISA ?
Currently , most visitors to Canada may visit for up to six months when they first enter Canada . Visitors who wish to stay longer must apply for an extension , and pay a new fee .
With the parent and grandparent super visa , eligible parents and grandparents can visit family in Canada for up to two years without the need to renew their status .
The Super Visa is a multi-entry visa that provides multiple entries for a period up to 10 years . The key difference is that the Super Visa allows an individual to stay for up to two years on initial entry into Canada , while a 10-year multiple entry visa would only have a status period for each entry of six months only .
There are also specific requirements that you must meet to be able to get a super visa .
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR A PARENT AND GRANDPARENT SUPER VISA ?
To be eligible for the super visa , applicants must be the parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents . Dependants of parents and grandparents are not eligible for the super visa . However , they can apply for a regular visitor visa . The super visa applicants must also be found admissible to Canada and meet some other conditions .
Visa officers consider several factors before deciding whether an applicant is admissible . Officers must believe the applicant is a genuine visitor to Canada who will leave by choice at the end of the visit . Among the things the officer might consider are the following :
• the person ’ s ties to his or her home country ;
• the purpose of the visit ;
• the person ’ s family and financial situation ;
• the overall economic and political stability of the home country ; and
• invitations from Canadian hosts .
The parent or grandparent must also do the following :
• provide a letter promising financial support from their child or grandchild in Canada who has a minimum income ;
• prove he or she has Canadian medical insurance for at least one year to cover the time he or she will be in Canada ; and
• complete an immigration medical examination .

There are speculations roving around the Palace that Presidential Communications Operations Office Chief ( PCOO ) Secretary Martin Andanar is on his way out of the Duterte Cabinet including some of his staff led by his Assistant Secretary Margaux Uson , better known as Mocha . The PCOO was a well-oiled PDU30 machine in the President ’ s first year in Malacanang until lots of booboos were committed by its hi-offs . So , no more excuses from Sec . Roque , just do it ! Save the Presidential machine , make the urgent …. Overdue overhaul ! ***** Just look at some mistakes committed by PCOO : “ Norwegia ”, “ Rogelio Golez ”, DoLE Logo of a pineapple ? Huwaw ! Kahit mahina IQ ng isang Pinoy ay matatawa sa logong pinya ng Department of Labor and Employment ( DoLE ). Akala yata ng PCOO ay DOLE PINAPPLE ‘ ibinebenta ’ ng Labor ageny si Sec . Bello ! Bigyan na agad-agad ng walking papers mga yan !
Bago tumakbo at makaluhod pa ke PDU30 . ***** The PCOO is an agency charged to clarify the President ’ s message to the public , but , on numerous occasions , messed up and twisted it . And instead of bridging the chief executive and the people , the PCOO has tinted its incompetence and arrogance , a deadly combination anywhere , but more so in public service . Through all these , Andanar has responded in a lessthan-authentic behavior by blaming his subordinates and threatening to ship them down South .
Hayan , turo ka ng turo kaya ’ t mapipingkok ka na sa matanda ! ***** There are so many excellent professional PR men in Manila that PDU30 could tap to replace Andanar at PCOO . Braggadocio style ang ke Andanar eh , wala naman palang binesa . Hangin lang pala ang dala sa Palasyo . Taga Davao lang ang credential niya when he applied as PCOO chief . One of the best secretaries PDU30 has in his Cabinet who could be the ONE to excellently handle the PCOO is Sec . Manny Pinol , a former respected journalist , broadcaster and PR man par excellence . Pero , nasa Department of Agriculture na si Sec . Manny eh , at yuon ang ni request niya at ibinigay ni PDU30 . Marami pang available at magagaling na PR men , Mr . President !
Ray Roquero is one , Mr . President . At ako po , Tatay Digong . Hehehe ! Joke Time ! ***** President Duterte was right in choosing Associate Justice Teresita De Castro as the new Supreme Court Chief Justice , just upholding the tradition of seniority in the SC . At 69 years old , De Castro is the most senior magistrate of the SC . But this also means that her time as Chief Justice would be quite short as she will reach the mandatory retirement age of 70 on October 8 . That ’ s why PDU30 ’ s critics imply that CJ De Castro ’ s appointment was a ‘ gift ’ for leading Sereno ’ s ouster thru ‘ quo warranto ’ ordered by the President . Wala na raw magagawa pa si CJ De Castro in less than two months . Wala talaga ?
Maraming-marami pa kayang gawin ni CJ De Castro sa SC ! Just watch !
