Kasal , the drama film starring Bea Alonzo , Derek Ramsay , and Paulo Avelino , has grossed P100 million in the Philippine box office .
According to Star Cinema , the movie was able to earn this amount in a span of 13 days . Directed by Ruel Bayani , Kasal opened in cinemas last May 16 .
The romance film was released as part of Star Cinema ’ s 25th anniversary
celebration .
Kasal tells the story of public school teacher Lia Marquez ( Bea ) who is about to marry eligible bachelor Philip Cordero ( Paulo ).
Her ex-boyfriend Wado dela Costa ( Derek ) re-enters her life and tries to expose Philip ’ s secret . Wado ’ s arrival rekindles his romance with Lia , which makes her doubt her feelings for Philip .
