The Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management is certified by world-renowned, Switzerland-based École hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), and will offer a range of culinary programs certified by France’s renowned Institut Paul Bocuse. Fully accredited by EHL, the four-year Bachelor’s degree program follows the standards of the CHED and comprises an active learning approach hinged on group work, case studies, and experimentation both on and off campus and during internships. In partnership with Institut Paul Bocuse, meanwhile, DHMC offers a series of executive programs under its Professional Advancement Center. These include Culinary Arts for Professionals, Pastry for Professionals, and Restaurant Management, among others. Housed in the first nine floors of the nearly completed DusitD2 the Fort, DHMC will be the first college in the Asia Pacific region to provide a fully integrated learning and hands-on training experience. The college and hotel will offer international hospitality education facilities including practical kitchens, restaurants, function rooms, recreational facilities including a swimming pool and fitness centre, 125 guest rooms, and 108 serviced residences. Bringing hospitality and culinary instruction into the digital age, DHMC promises students a technology-enabled learning environment complete with extensive hospitality management resources to transform them into globally competitive hospitality and culinary professionals. “Our partnership with two of the world leaders in hospitality management and culinary education, and the full integration of our college and hotel, give our students what we like to refer to as “Beyond Education,’” said Lars Eltvik, managing director, DHMC and DusitD2 the Fort, Manila. “During their time at the college, our students will actually put theory into practice by working in the hotel alongside experienced hoteliers and restaurateurs.
