‘Ganda sa Ganda’: Kristine, Liza finally meet in ‘Bagani’
In a moment long teased with
the line, “Ganda sa Ganda,” two of
the most beautiful faces in showbiz
finally shared the screen in the epi-
sode of “Bagani” on Wednesday.
Both considered top stars of their
respective generations, Kristine Her-
mosa, 34, and Liza Soberano, 20,
came face to face as their characters
in the top-rating fantaserye.
The much-awaited scene saw
Malaya (Hermosa) rescuing Ganda
(Soberano) from the twins Toto and
Tata (Fourth and Fifth Solomon),
who revealed themselves to be Kam-
bal Kurimaw.
Just as the creatures carried out
their goal to siphon Ganda’s beau-
ty, Malaya arrived to stop them and
released Ganda from being bound.
Still uncertain as to her whereabouts,
Ganda agreed to Malaya’s offer to
help keep her safe by going with her.
In earlier episodes, a levitating
Ganda was shown waking
up in Dako Pa Roon after
she apparently died in a
clash with Sarimaw (Ryan
Eigenmann).
Hidden in the shadows
of that realm was Malaya,
who was shown in a flash-
back to be the partner of
Bathala (Raymund Baga-
tsing), and the mother of
Sarimaw and Apo (Dei-
ther Ocampo).
It remains to be seen
whether Malaya is on
Ganda’s side and what
her goal is.
The meeting had
viewers surprised with
Malaya’s re-appearance,
after only being shown in
flashbacks in earlier epi-
sodes. On Twitter, “Ma-
laya” and “Kristine Hermosa” quickly
became trending topics, with those
tuned in sharing speculation as to
what role she will play in Ganda’s
journey. (abs-cbn)
Coleen reveals unfortunate incident on wedding day
April 20 was a special day for
celebrity couple Billy Crawford and
Coleen Garcia, who exchanged vows
at scenic Balesin surrounded by their
close friends and family.
Photos and videos of the occa-
sion show it was a near-perfect affair,
save for one unfortunate incident
where the bride became the victim.
In an Instagram post Tuesday,
the 25-year-old actress explained
why she had been “MIA” or missing
in action on social media, during the
weekend following her wedding.
She wrote: “My phone disap-
peared from my room on the night
of our wedding. Never got it back.
But now that I’m back on Instagram,
I apologize in advance for flooding
your feed with wedding photos!”
The incident, however, didn’t
seem to have soured the honey-
moon phase for the newlyweds. Gar-
cia made the post on the day she
and Crawford returned to “It’s Show-
time,” which they co-hosted for a
time until the actress’ departure.
The two were all smiles and ap-
peared full of gratitude, and did not
bring up the untoward incident.
